Web Site Services

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a software distribution model in which applications are hosted by a vendor or service provider and made available to customers over a network, typically the Internet. SaaS is generally associated with business software and is typically thought of as a low-cost way for businesses to obtain the same benefits of commercially licensed, internally operated software without the associated complexity and high initial cost.

Benefits of the SaaS model include: easier administration, automatic updates and patch management, compatibility (all users will have the same version of software), easier collaboration, and global accessibility.

Software As A Service (SaaS)

Data driven applications maximize productivity and increase efficiency. At MRR Technologies, we can leverage open source software to provide you with a secure and cost effective web application to suit your needs.

Benefits of SaaS Technology

  • Eliminates the need to purchase on-site IT infrastructure
  • Frees you from maintenance tasks on the OS/Database
  • Secure access over the Internet
  • Flexible pay-as-you-go subscription pricing
  • Substantially increases application reliability and scalability

The SaaS Process

The general process closely follows the Software development Life Cycle.

  1. Project planning: Establishes a high-level view of the intended project and determines its goals. Analyze end-user informational needs by viewing company forms, reports and procedures for the business process that the web application will follow.
  2. Systems analysis, requirements definition: Refines project goals into defined functions and operation of the intended application.
  3. Contracts: At this point we provide you a written contract that defines the scope of work to be done along with payment schedules. Once we received the signed contact and deposit, the process continues.
  4. Systems design: Describes desired features and operations in detail, including screen layouts, business rules, process diagrams, pseudo code and other documentation.
  5. Development: The real code is written here.
  6. Integration and testing: Brings all the pieces together into a special testing environment, then checks for errors, bugs and interoperability.
  7. Acceptance, installation, deployment: The final stage of initial development, where the software is put into production and runs actual business.
  8. Maintenance: This happens during the rest of the software's life: modifications, corrections, upgrades and more.

When we build a web based application, we support it with free bug fixes. We also offer 2 free hours per month of ** web page maintenance for the first year. Please contact us for more informatin.

** The web page maintenance for a web based application does not include system upgrades. If a specific need is identified for an upgrade we go through the same general software development lifecycle process for that upgrade. Keep in mind that web based applications are like any other computer program. Those upgrades may affect the underlying database structure and/or code in other parts of the program.
